James L. McGee Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James L. McGee (Colorado Springs, Colorado), born in Fort Madison, Iowa, who passed away on April 19, 2024. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James L. McGee to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid James farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his mother Eleanor McGee (Hitch). He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, James Jr. (Peggy) and Kristin Hummel; and his father O. L. McGee. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was active in the Downtown Kiwanis Club, the UTEP Miner Foundation, and University Presbyterian Church, where he served on the session.
