He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Vaughan and Julia Vaughan; and his brother Timothy "Jack" Vaughan. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Vaughan; his daughters, Lori Reed (Steve) and Sheri Hudson (Greg); and his grandchildren, Andrew Reed (Sarah), Dana Ward (Tanner), Ashton Byrd (Alex), Taylor Hudson (Nikki), Jacob Reed (Karie) and Shelby Torres (Justin).

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 5:30 PM at the Cross Fellowship Church (10915 Black Forest Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80908).
