He is survived by: his children, Bernhard Lucas Kirchner of Northville, Michigan, Adelheid "Heidi" Anderson (John) of Ann Arbor, Sonja and Doris-Maria Hettle (Beau) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his grandchildren, Eligh, Levigh and Sophia; his siblings, Reinhard Kirchner, Rita Kirchner and Irene Kirchner; and his former spouse Adelheid Franciska Strecker.
