He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Arlome and John Stanley Butterfield; his son Michael; his son-in-law Eric Hinson; and his grandson Joel Petritz.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela; his children, Arthur Butterfield, David Butterfield, Kathleen Hinson, Carolyn Butterfield (Tim Davenport), Shay Armstrong (Don), Sarah Lang (Michael) and Dana Barton (Ben); his grandchildren, Paige Hinson, Tyler Hinson, Stephen Butterfield, Angelica Watkins (Colin), Daniel Butterfield (Hannah), Alana Butterfield, Rachel Butterfield, Tim Petritz, Quinlan Barton, Phebe Barton, Jasper Lang and Gareth Lang; and his great grandchildren, Spencer Herbert, Wyatt Watkins and Finn Watkins.
