He was predeceased by: his mother Doris Evelyn Rosebrook Shanks. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hoffman Shanks; his brother Ron Shanks of Rock Springs, Wyoming; his cousin Mark Guthrie (Marcy); his siblings-in-law, Preston and Ann Hoffman Granbery of New Vernon, NJ; and his close friends, Joey and Dede Pahl. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
