He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Elsie Dorothy Koch; his wife Becky Koch; his sister Betty Kofoed; and his daughter-in-law Deborah Koch.

He is survived by: his children, John (Mimi), Kathy (Doug), Don of Orlando, FL, Rus (Patty) and Rob (Lee). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, most of whom are married with their own children which make up his 17 great-grandchildren.
