He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sr. Abell and Ethel Abell; his sisters, Lucille Case (Marion), Dora Nell Lewis (Buck) and Bonnaire Kent (Kent); his son Robert Nate Abell (Michelle); his grandson Ezra Abell-Payne; his nieces, Claudia Lorenzo (Hans) and Nancy Lorenzo (Howard); and his great-nephew Jeffrey Strauss.
He is survived by: his daughter Tamera Kim Abell (Logan); his wife Priscilla; his children, Eli Abell (Cindy) and Debi Abell (Jody); his grandchildren, Roger Eli Abell II, Rachael Abell-Moore (Richard), Robert Abell of Maine, Mystina Abell (Willie) and Roxanne Johnson (Cory); and his great grandchildren, Kaleb Dozier, Aydin Rosenberg, Kamber Patino, Rourke Abell-Moore, Tremaine Abell, Thomas Abell-Steen, Theseus Abell-Euper, Elijah Johnson and Adeline Johnson.
Mr. Abell had recently re-accepted God into his life, and lost an embattled fight with Parkinson's disease.
