He was predeceased by: his parents, Nora Senior and Leo Beserra Senior; his brother Rudy Beserra; and his daughter Christine Beserra. He is survived by: his wife Michele; and his children, Allison Kriss (Jordan), Nicole Cox (Andrew) and Garrett Beserra (Amanda). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren.

Leo's most beloved project was the Latin American Educational Foundation (LAEF), which has been providing college scholarships to Hispanic students since 1949. Leo's donation to LAEF had a profound impact on the organization and a promise he made to himself.
