He was predeceased by: his sister Vera Unruh. He is survived by: his spouse Pernie B. Becker; his sons, Rodney K. Matthies (Sunshine) of Clifton, CO and Randy D. Matthies of Wichita, KS; and his sister Mary Janzen of Newton, KS. He is also survived by six Grandchildren; one Great Grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.
