He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron B. Heckenlively and Mae Heckenlively (Butts). He is survived by: his wife Janet (Judy); and his daughter Penny Heckenlively-Linman of Hotchkiss. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
