It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mildred Pauline Barnes (Castle Rock, Colorado), born in Menomonie, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 2, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Matilda Martinson (Wisner) and Jacob Martinson; her husband Cyril Wilbur Barnes; her sons, Robert, Paul and Thomas; and her siblings, Harold, Ralph, Elmira (Solberg) and Jane (Hoffman).
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathlyn Scott (Brian) of Fargo, ND, Karla Willoughby (Thomas) and Cynthia Bagby (Linda Carter); her brother Dr. Jacob Martinson (Elizabeth); and her sister-in-law Janet (Wendt). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be sent where Mildred's story began and now has come full circle: Salem Iron Creek Methodist Church, E7285 N County Rd. E. South, Menomonie, WI, 54751.
