He is survived by: his pets, Blackjack and Dutch; his parents, Jill and Jerry Schwear of Colorado Springs; his sisters, Jamie Schwear, Jerilyn Schwear Arneson (Trevor) and Joni Schwear; and his partner's son Adam.

Memorials may be made in Jonathan's honor to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital and will be received at the funeral home.
