He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Schmutz and Mary Jane Schmutz (Knause). He is survived by: his brother Jerry Schmutz; his nieces, Jennifer Prichard of St. Louis, MO and Emily Gebhardt of St. Louis, MO; his close friend Joanne Joseph; and also, Tracy Milakovic, Mike Milakovic and Judith Joseph.
