With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Hennis of Canon City, Colorado, who passed away on November 14, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact James had on those he encountered along his journey. Though James may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Hennis of Canon City; his daughters, Kay Day of Colorado Springs and Julie Shirley of Canon City; and his sister Joann Tracy (Tracy) of Pueblo West. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holt Chapel of the Garden (806 Macon Ave, Cañon City, CO 81212). A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Lakeside Cemetery (1008 Elm Ave, Cañon City, CO 81212).
