He was predeceased by: his former wives, Norma Lee Black (Black) and Sue (Lykins); his parents, Ned Brown and Louise Brown; and his daughter Brenda.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Brown; his sons, Don Jr., Tim (Cheryl) and Jeff (Shelly); his grandchildren, Brandy, Nathanael, Matthias, Tim, Isaac, Caleb, Joel, Derek, McKenzie, Tyler and Kaitlyn; and his siblings, Janet Ross (Rod), Janice Dukes (Ron) and Dennis Brown (Christiana). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and scores of cousins and friends.
