He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gilbert and Billie Lorene Thrailkill Gilbert; his stepfather Frank Gilbert; and his siblings, Barbara Bettger (Ron Bettger) and Bill Thrailkill.
He is survived by: his siblings, Gladys Dunbar of Sapulpa and Ken Thrailkill (Sue) of Iowa; and his close friends, John and Emily Arnold of Canon City, Colorado.. He is also survived by His sister-in-law.
