He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Gangel and Agnes Haire Gangel; his granddaughter Fee Shem; his son Kirk Gerard; and his brothers, Tim, Fran and Paul.
He is survived by: his children, Gay Gangel-Fayhee (John), Tim Gangel (Carole), Tom Gangel (Catherine), Gina Koch (Bob) and Beth Gangel-Shem (Bill); his grandchildren, Jason, Kyle, Brian Gangel, William, Brett, Kelly Koch and Cody Shem; and his siblings, Mary Shriner (JB), John Gangel (JoAnn) and Michael Gangel. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels of Canon City, The Fremont Civic Choir or a local food bank. At the family's request, please do not send flowers at this time.
