He was predeceased by: his parents, D. D. Dennis and Charlene Dennis; and his sisters, Wanza Kendrick and Nadine Goldston. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Stanley; his daughter Jeanna Rae Dennis (Deacon John Doubrava); his brother Carrell Dennis (Barbara); and his grandchildren, Ryan Doubrava (Alanna), Justin Doubrava (Melissa) and Jessica Farley-Doubrava (Chris).
