He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hornung and Joan Hornung; his brothers, Stephen Hornung and Patrick Hornung; his niece Madeleine Hornung; and his great-nephew James Patrick Dour.
He is survived by: his wife Shelley of Stratton; his sons, Michael Hornung (Kelly) of Liberal and Jonathan Hornung (Ginny); his grandson Luke of Colby; his children, Thomas Hornung of La Veta and Savannah Leiker (Jonathan); his grandson Oliver of Burlington, Colorado.; and his siblings, Victoria Sutton (Richard), Cynthia Luebbers (Kent) and David Hornung (Barb).
