He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Highland and Anna Highland (Henderson); his wife Estelle; and his brother Bobby. He is survived by: his son Bernard "Jack" Highland (Sue) of Burlington; his brothers, Larry Highland (Geri) of Kersey, Ronald "Cody" Highland (Phyllis) of Kersey and Lonnie; his sister-in-law Carolyn; his grandchildren, Kylee Martin (Jon) and Justin Highland (Shelby) of Cheyenne, WY.; and his great grandchildren, Nevaeh Martin and Madelin Martin. He is also survived by His brothers and his grandkids.
