He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse William James Sr. and Flora Mabry Robinson James; and his sisters, Mettie Lee Brown (Charles Brown), Virginia Ozell Kemper (John Kemper) and Rebecca Sue Gruenwald.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Collins; his daughters, Bonita McManus (Gordon) of Colorado Springs and Donna James Williams of Burlington; his grandchildren, Riley Williams (Ginger) of Deer Trail and Rachel McManus of Lakewood; and his great grandchildren, Declan of Deer Trail and Finnegan of Deer Trail.
