He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Johnson and Velma Johnson (Fern); and his siblings, James Johnson, Willa Peters, John Johnson and Ray Johnson.
He is survived by: his former wife Alice Schlichenmayer; his wife Shirley Johnson; his stepdaughter Rhonda Hester (Larry); his children, Rod Heid (Debbi) and Kim Ritchie (Patrick); his grandchildren, Ryan Hester, Tara Hester Barmer, Hunter Ritchie, Austin Ritchie and Talli Heid; his great grandchildren, Kaydence Barmer and Jackson Hester; and his siblings, Jeraldean Busby, Bonnie Moorhead (Dennis) of Brule, NE and Lauana Ivancik (Ron) of Westland, MI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
