With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald William Duerst of Burlington, Colorado, born in Scribner, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 22, 2024 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Duerst (Bus) and Phyllis Linderholm Duerst; and his son Brian D. Duerst. He is survived by: his daughter Dr. Julie; his son-in-law Kevin Bennett; his son John Cathey; and his grandchildren, Whitney Bennett, Morgan Ehtessabian, Lauryn Cathey and Mason Witzel. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
