He is survived by: his wife Janet Hixenbaugh (Short) of Burlington; his children, Christina England, Trina Loucks (Stacy) of Loveland and Casey Short of Greeley; his grandchildren, Talyn Short, Mason Loucks and Myles Loucks; his sisters, Joyce Spencer of Denver, Wanda Decker (Loel) of Vona and Donna Weiss (Gene) of Bethune; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Niles (Raymond) and Gerald Masters (Jill). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
