He was predeceased by: his parents, Janice Hayes and Hershel "Butch" Spelts; and his grandparents, Rachel Hayes and Earl Hayes. He is survived by: his siblings, Cindy Hayes (Jeff McCarthy) of Walsenburg, Colorado, Cathy Segelke of Sterling, Colorado, Cristine Reed (Dean Reed) of Orchard, Colorado, Teresa Lanz of Brush, Colorado and Quincy Spelts. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
