He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanor Maupin (Bunning) and W. H. Maupin; his wife Doris June Eberhardt; and his siblings, Jeanette Rieb and Charles Maupin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marian Jean Awmiller, Marsha Jo Mills (Larry), Melody Jan Mawyer (Bruce) and Marla Jodell Fournier; his sister Jolene Greene; his grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Chris, Jason and Kevin; and his great grandchildren, Marissa, Kyle, Kaci, Cassie, Cody, Madison, Dylan and Maddox.
