He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Eakes and Lillie Eakes (Howell); his wife Barbara Eakes (Brown); and his brother Eugene Eakes. He is survived by: his children, Todd Eakes (Susan) and Karen Morales (Kenneth). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
