He was predeceased by: his parents, Bordie Poole and Robie Poole. He is survived by: his wife Lois; his daughters, Lisa Elder (Stephen) and Sharon Kuzma; his sister Barbara Smith; his grandchildren, Molly, Zach and Sam; and his great grandchild Daniel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
