He is survived by: his brothers, Don and Dick; his granddaughter Shanna; his brother Gene; his friends, Frank and Bernice; his children, Bret Lewis (Nancy) and Shanna Cook; and his grandchildren, Jill Dennis (Mike), Heather Boyd, Jason Lewis (Rachel), Shannon Lewis, Jordan Cook and Collin Cook (Lilly).

A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Elmwood Cemetery (14800 Old, Brighton Rd, Brighton, CO 80601). A reception was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Richard's Home (15623 Degaulle Cir, Brighton, CO 80603).
