It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katie Marie Scott of Brighton, Colorado, born in Napoleonville, Louisiana, who passed away on December 24, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Inez Bougere, and Matthew Bougere, Sr.; and her siblings, Matthew Bougere, Jr., Rosa Mae Washington and Florence Mae Bougere Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin Scott; her children, Jacque (Angela), Alexander Scott, Shawyn Scott and Shadeja Robinson (Tony); and her siblings, Brenda James (Calvin), Irene Johnson (Junious), Catherine Bell, Gerilyn Lewis (Honary), Roland (Helen), Anthony (Marilyn), Johnny (Rita), Nathaniel, Henry, George and Robert Bougere (Jackie). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
