He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Fresquez; his sons, Steven Barela and Stanley Barela (Stephanie); and his grandchildren, Rhiannon Gancheff (Kyle), Aaron Barela (Alyssa), Crystal Barela, Heather Bargas (Jason), Dustin Barela (Erica), Antonia Barela, Holly Holguin-Nuanez (Alex), Ryan Barela, Dylan Nuanez and Haley Barela. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
