He was predeceased by: his parents, Valdomero Serna and Fidela Hernandez; his wife Carmen; his siblings, Jose, Julian, Balta, Panchita, Inez, Gregorio and Hilario; and his grandsons, David Robles and Ernest W. Serna.
He is survived by: his children, Guadalupe Robles (late Juan), Guillermo Serna (late Raquel), Fernando Serna (Connie), Juan Antonio Serna, Rosie Serna and Irasema Macias Gonzalez. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren along with many nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Tabor Funeral Service Chapel (75 S 13th Ave, Brighton, CO 80601). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (178 S 6th Ave, Brighton, CO 80601). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (14800 Old, Brighton Rd, Brighton, CO 80601).
