He was predeceased by: his parents, William P. Sievers and Anna Margaret Sievers (Lamp); his wife Agnes Sievers (Hopka); and his siblings, Bill Sievers, Ray Sievers, Carl Sievers and Margaret Lippold (Sievers).
He is survived by: his children, Jackie Smock, Jeannie Hockersmith (Jack), Gary Sievers (Lynda), Sandra Koenig (Don), Anna Kim Sievers and William Jeffrey Sievers. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and their children.
