He was predeceased by: his parents, Marian W. Schroeder and Harold A. Schroeder. He is survived by: his wife Kay Schroeder; his children, Steven and Julia L. Skadowski of Norcross; and his stepsons, Malcolm Forward of Golden Valley and Kent Forward.

Remembrances can be made in Max's name through contributions to The National Audubon Society.
