She was predeceased by: her parents, William O. and Mary A. Brooke; her husband Edgar Lee Vanatta; her sisters, Nancy Meade and Phyllis McClard; and her son Richard Vanatta.

She is survived by: her siblings, William Brooke Jr., Ralph Brooke, Susie Cussen, Maxine Stephenson, Jeanette Thompson, Jim Brooke and Steve Brooke; her children, Robert Vanatta, Thomas Vanatta, Gary Vanatta, Scott Vanatta, Mike Vanatta and Sheryl Ortiz (Vanatta); her grandchildren, Bonnie Vigil, Max Vanatta, Robert, Thomas, Cole Vanatta, Kurtis Vanatta, Kaitie Compton and Meg Ortiz; and her great grandchildren, Carmelita Vigil, Addie Compton, Shan, Ethan, Damien Vanatta and Vivian Vanatta. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
