She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Shumway and Viola Shumway. She is survived by: her husband Bill Wharton; her children, Ken Wharton (Kate Schafer), Paul Wharton and Ruth McMillan (Pedro McMillan); and her granddaughter Sophia Schafer-Wharton.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Calendar Atonement Lutheran Church (685 Inca Pkwy, Boulder, CO 80303).
