He was predeceased by: his father William Weigand; and his father-in-law Robert H. Rutkowski. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Christopher (Courtney) of Boulder, Matthew of London, England, Katherine of Vail, Kimberly Corwin (Jason) of San Diego, Kai and Caden; his mother Mary Weigand of Akron; his mother-in-law Olivia Rutkowski of Erie; and his siblings, Sandy Costill, Janet Weigand and Patrick Weigand of Akron. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, and 10 great nieces and nephews.
