He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Smith and Sarah Smith (Barrett); his son Tom; and his siblings, Tharold, Uldene Fuhrman (Smith) and Phyllis Budge (Smith).
He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Nancy and Steve; and his grandchildren, Codi, Dustin and Nick. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
