She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Kaper and Vincent Kaper; her husband Roland G. Petersen (Pete); and her brother Charles Kaper. She is survived by: her son Mark Collins Petersen; her daughter-in-law Carolyn Collins Petersen of Nederland, CO; her daughter Jill C. Petersen of Kenmore, WA; her niece Karen Wolf Schramm of Rio Rancho, NM; and her great-niece Dawn Wolf of Colorado Springs, CO.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Mountain View Memorial Park (3395 Penrose Pl, Boulder, CO 80301).
The family requests any donations be made as a Tribute Gift in Florence's name to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley.
