As Brad departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Brad. Though Brad may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his brother Paul Gilbert; his sisters-in-law, Wendi and Allison; and also, Jason, Aimee, Samantha and Josh.
When he was first diagnosed with frontal temporal dementia in Feb 2020, he started rereading every book in his library and then, due to the early Covid shutdown, his friends started sending him books to read from across the country as libraries were closed.
