He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Mae Covert Michaels and Valentine John Kosek; his son Andrew Charles Kosek; and his brother Stephen "Smokey" Michaels. He is survived by: his significant other Anneliese; his daughter Patricia Kosek Mecadon (Charles) of Pittston, PA.; his grandchildren, Angela Basta Zaledonis, Mary Giardina (Anthony), Dr. Pilar Mecadon Labriola (Joseph), NJ, Anitra Mecadon (Adam Scheinin), Dr. Francis Mecadon (Simone) and Yalonda L. Kosek; his great grandchildren, Victoria of Pittston, PA., Gunnar Zaledonis of Pittston, PA., Jacob of Pittston, PA., Isabella of Pittston, PA., Silvio Giardina of Pittston, PA., Ophelia of Pittston, PA. and Kingsley Mecadon of Pittston, PA.; his great great grandchildren, Carson and Silas De Haute of Lancaster, PA.; and his sister Patricia Michaels Hillon Bethlehem (Gilbert). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
