He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Juana Becerra; his children, Julieta Cortes (Juan Martinez) and Michael Cortes; his granddaughters, Sofia Del Carmen Martinez and Eva Marie Martinez-Cortes; his parents, Roberto Cortes and Sofia Cortes; and his siblings, Leopoldo Cortes, Carlos Cortes and Juana Cortes.
