He was predeceased by: his birth mother Cynthia Bluett; his grandparents, Bernard, Mildred Kania, Byron, Mary Hiles, Robert and Marion Purdy; his aunts and uncles, Ben, Kathleen Kania, Judy, Norbert Milloshewski and Ed Kallal; and his niece Annabelle Jean Kania.
He is survived by: his parents, Barbara Kania and Michael Kania of Aurora, CO; his brothers, Matthew Kania (Katherine) of Cornelius, OR and Marshall Kania (Melissa) of Aurora, CO; his nieces, Gracie Mae and Annie Lynne; his nephew Landon Marshall; and his aunts and uncles, Joyce, Larry Kise, Bonnie, Ken Cox, Jean, Scott Haines, Pam Hiles, Jeremy Honeycutt, Mike and Laura Hiles.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that charitable contributions be made in Jay-Jay's name to the Schenectady/Liberty ARC, 214 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12305.
