With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joel William Hicks (Aurora, Colorado), born in Denver, Colorado, who passed away on April 21, 2023 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Helene Grater and Jack Hicks; his brother Jim Hicks; and his stepfather Howard Grater. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Hicks; his children, Carrie Jo and Joel Jr.; his grandchildren, Tyler, Bella and Danny; and his siblings, Gail Lorenz, Connie Grater and Jim Grater.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Peace with Christ Christian School in Joel's name.
