With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jay Hardesty of Aurora, Colorado, who passed away on July 12, 2024 at the age of 72. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jay Hardesty to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Jay may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Hardesty and Donna Hardesty. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his daughter Heather Horne; his son-in-law David Horne; and his grandchildren, Aiden and Kellan.

During COVID-19 in 2020, they followed their grandkids and relocated yet again to Colorado.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

“Dearest Debbie, I am so sorry and heart broken that Jay has passed away. He was a great friend in my life once Carol and I moved into Muirfield. I could always depend on him to be outside with Bella. As you remember Jay, Mark, Chet and I started the so called and aptly named “Dog Park”. We would bring out our furry family members to have a romp, and of course visit about life, current events, & news! Jay was the first friend that I made in our HOA. God bless you!”
