She was predeceased by: her parents, Rodney Brown and Vivian Brown (Ledue); her brother Rodney Brown Jr.; her former husband B. Jerome Gustafson; and her daughter Brenda.

She is survived by: her children, Tammy VanDerbur (Tony) and Byron Gustafson (Sonia); her granddaughter Jennifer Goble (John Solomon); and also Richard Deneen (Rick).
