He was predeceased by: his parents, Ascencion Martinez and Virginia Martinez (Ramos); his siblings, Esther, Petra "Pat", Agnes, Patricia, Gregorio and Frank Flores; and his children, Rudy J. Martinez and Diane Godinez.
He is survived by: his wife Mary C. Avila; and his children, Rose Gallegos (John) of Laramie, Cora Rogakis (Dave) of Windsor, Tommy Martinez of Greeley and Max Jr. II (Gloria) of Severance, Colorado. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
