Carlos Javier Martinez Sr. Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carlos Javier Martinez Sr. (Arvada, Colorado), born in Denver, Colorado, who passed away on February 2, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Carlos farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Carlos is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeronimo Martinez and Maria Esperanza Munoz. He is survived by: his wife Cyndi; his children, Cassie Sedillo (Phil) and Carlos Jr. Martinez (Alanah); his sisters, Ana Martinez and Laura Maes (Todd); his grandchildren, Leila and Philip Sedillo; his brother Jeronimo Jr.; and his nephew Jonathan Maes.

A rosary was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Christ Catholic Community Church (7400 W 80th Ave, Arvada, CO 80003). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery (12801 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033).
