He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Amen and Isabell Amen; and his sister Carol (Abe Kreider). He is survived by: his sisters, Dale Ann Amen, Paula Albrandt (Darrell) and Brenda Lauer (Ken); and his nieces and nephews, Staci Liang (Vincent), Annie Nicely (Max), Natasha Kreider, Lance Albrandt (Antonia) and Evan Albrandt (Sarah).
