He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyde Edgar Neal and Cleotilde Celeste Gurule; his brothers, Andy, Philip and Robert Gurule; his niece Vanessa Jiron; his nephews, Matthew Jaramillo and Antonio Marquez; and his great-niece Destiny Martinez.

He is survived by: his siblings, Dianna Marquez (Ernest) of Canon, CO, Darlene Gurule of Taos, NM, Ida Vigil (Bernie) and Alexander Gutierrez (Kathy Lopez) of Canon, CO; and his godchildren, Arriana Lujan of Colorado, Elias Vigil of Antonito and Mateo Marquez-Harrison of Denver, CO.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
